The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lambert bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Boimer's head backwards.
Boimer shoots for a double leg takedown but Lambert sprawls well. He's pushed Boimer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lambert gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lambert is looking to stand up but Boimer isn't so interested in that idea.
