King has chosen Chase and Status- No Problem as his entrance music. Mike Ditka has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Mike Ditka has been cut.
King misses with a takedown

and Ditka counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King is trying to control Ditka's posture but Ditka avoids it.
King manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ditka's best efforts.
King is trying to maintain the position but Ditka is very close to passing his half guard.
Ditka thows a huge punch but King dodges it nicely.

Mike Ditka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

King has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ditka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

King has his takedown stuffed

and Ditka counters with a nice double leg into side control. King won't be happy with that.
Ditka is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ditka tries to advance to mount but King denies him.
Ditka cracks King with a big right hand but King just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ditka in side control lands a decent elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ditka is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at King. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

King is rocked!
Ditka lands a good shot there. King covers up! Ditka smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns King to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Ditka jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
