Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Niupulusu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage's entrance music is All Shall Perish - Wage Slaves. A fine choice. Niupulusu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cyclops - Danny Brown kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Gabriel Niupulusu!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niupulusu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Niupulusu throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Savage looks to score with a jab to the body but Niupulusu is just out of range.
Savage has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Niupulusu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Savage. Savage obviously looking to wear him down.
Savage lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Niupulusu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Savage.

It looks like Jack Savage has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Savage throws a head kick that misses.

Niupulusu lands a right hook to the body.
Savage throws a solid leg kick but Niupulusu takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Savage.
Savage with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Niupulusu to score with a decent uppercut.

and Niupulusu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Niupulusu trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Niupulusu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Niupulusu stands and throws Savage's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Niupulusu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Niupulusu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Niupulusu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Savage has escaped the position, nice work there.

Niupulusu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Savage is trying to get back to half guard.

Niupulusu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Savage, who protects the arm well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You can see the frustration on Savage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Savage is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Niupulusu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Savage keeps working.
