The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Casey moves into the clinch.

Casey manages to break the clinch.
Casey showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Casey, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Casey against the cage but Casey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Casey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Casey manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Casey's guard.
Silva passes Casey's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Casey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.
Silva is pressing down on Casey's thigh, looking to free his foot. Casey is holding on for now.
