The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustafsson misses with a low kick.
Koistinen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gustafsson ducks right into an uppercut from Koistinen.
Gustafsson looks to land a right hand but Koistinen moved out of range.
Koistinen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at RNC Sport Club in the buildup to the fight.
Koistinen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gustafsson to score with a decent uppercut.
Gustafsson throws a leg kick that misses.

Koistinen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Gustafsson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gustafsson duly obliges.
Koistinen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Koistinen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Koistinen takes a swing at Gustafsson's ribcage but misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Koistinen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Koistinen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gustafsson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gustafsson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Koistinen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Koistinen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kristus Koistinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koistinen missing with a left hand there. Gustafsson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Koistinen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gustafsson's head backwards.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gustafsson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Koistinen - the referee stops the clock and Gustafsson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Koistinen. Gustafsson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Gustafsson counters with a good, hard body kick but Koistinen shrugs it off.

Gustafsson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Koistinen clobbers Gustafsson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Koistinen's corner calls for a 1-2. Koistinen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Koistinen feints and then cracks Gustafsson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gustafsson down.
Koistinen throws a solid leg kick but Gustafsson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Koistinen.
Gustafsson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Koistinen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Gustafsson lands with a good body shot.

Gustafsson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Koistinen. That one must have hurt.

Gustafsson is still on wobbly legs! Can Koistinen finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That kick from Koistinen tenderised Gustafsson's leg. Gustafsson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Koistinen walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Gustafsson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Koistinen swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Gustafsson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kristus Koistinen!
Kristus Koistinen bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
