The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luiz tried to score with a low kick but Rude checks it.
Luiz throws a wild body kick that Rude sees coming a mile off.
Luiz bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A good leg kick by Luiz .
Luiz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rude takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Luiz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rude moves out of range as Luiz throws a body kick.
Bruno Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luiz scores with a head kick.
Luiz 's coach down at Grappling Pro Helsinki (14 coaches/25 fighters cap was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Luiz 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Luiz throws a hook but Rude blocks it.
Luiz connects with a leg kick. Rude looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A slapping body kick lands there for Luiz .
Rude throws a lazy right hand but Luiz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rude keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luiz feints and then cracks Rude's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rude down.
Luiz lands a leg kick that knocks Rude off balance momentarily.
Luiz scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rude lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Luiz is rocked!
Luiz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Luiz is still on wobbly legs! Can Rude finish him?

Rude lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luiz circles away quickly and effectively.
Luiz seems to have recovered his senses.
Luiz throws a head kick but Rude moves out of range.

Rude checks the leg kick.
Luiz throws a sloppy body shot
and Rude counters with a huge left! Luiz is in big trouble! He's backing up but Rude isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Luiz from any more damage. A dominating finish by Rude!
