Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Salty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Winslow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salty comes to the cage accompanied by Gonna Fly Now. Winslow has chosen KJ-52 - Let's go as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elmo Salty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Winslow!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

It looks like Shane Winslow has been cut.
Salty has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD Gym Now with StandUP in the buildup to the fight.
Winslow walks into a stiff left hand from Salty.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Winslow uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salty.

Salty throws an overhand right that lands on Winslow's shoulder, as Winslow tries to avoid the shot.
Salty dips to his left and cracks Winslow with an uppercut!

and Winslow moves into the clinch.
Winslow tries for a takedown but Salty manages to get underhooks.
Elmo Salty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Winslow.
Salty is pressed up against the cage. Winslow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Salty down to the mat. Salty avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Salty misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Winslow.

Salty lands with a nice body punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winslow takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Salty is looking to wear down Winslow with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Salty cracks Winslow with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Elmo Salty is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Winslow with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Salty to score with a decent uppercut.
Salty throws a right and a left that both miss.
Salty throws a hook but Winslow blocks it.

Salty fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Winslow on the side of the head.
Salty throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Salty fails to land with a series of punches.
Salty throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Winslow moves out of range of the strikes.
Winslow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salty.

Winslow takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Elmo Salty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch lands to the side of Winslow 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salty paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Winslow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salty.

Winslow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Salty.
Salty throws a right and a left that both miss.
Salty lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Salty.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Winslow walks into a left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Salty lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Salty rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Winslow moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Winslow on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Winslow counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Winslow.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Salty wants to stand but Winslow is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Salty connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Winslow takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Salty swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Winslow counters with a single leg into guard. Salty didn't expect that.

Winslow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Winslow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Salty on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Salty tries to get out of the position.

Winslow won't allow Salty to get back to his feet.
Winslow lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Salty wants to stand but Winslow is controlling the position.
Winslow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Winslow drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Winslow seems to have locked his on tight now - Salty screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Winslow, as he picks up the win!

In his post fight interview, Shane Winslow gave a big smile as he said 'And once again I show that I have improved, in every aspect of the game, whoever you are, don't give up on anything, I am the proof that if you want it bad enough, you get it! '.
