The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera looks to land a body kick but Hirvonen moved away.
Rivera throws the kick towards the body but Hirvonen avoids it.
Hirvonen checks a leg kick.
Rivera looks to score with a jab to the body but Hirvonen is just out of range.
Hirvonen takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Rivera takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hirvonen scores with a decent looking hook.
Rivera takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hirvonen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Hirvonen does it's job there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rivera connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Tukka Hirvonen has been cut.
Rivera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hirvonen looks to land a combination but Rivera avoids it well.
Hirvonen misses with a jab to the body
and Rivera counters with a flying knee that drops Hirvonen! Rivera dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Rivera!
Junior Rivera decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
