Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Hart is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Franks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Hart!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart shoots in looking for a takedown. Franks tries to sprawl out of it but Hart keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Franks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hart moves out of range of the body kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hart.
Hart tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hart has managed to clinch.
Franks wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Franks working hard to break the clinch.

Hart turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hart manages to end up in side control.
Franks is looking for a sweep.
Franks sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Franks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hart tries to pass the half guard into mount. Franks knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hart prevents Franks from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hart trying to pass the guard but Franks defending well.
Hart trying to control the action but Franks is working from the bottom.
Franks wants to get back to his feet.
Franks is pressing down on Hart's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Franks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Franks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hart manages to get himself to full guard.
Franks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Franks drops back looking for a leg! Hart is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hart manages to kick Franks off! Franks jumps back into Hart's guard.
Franks wanted to stand there but Hart had control of the position.
Franks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hart wants to control the position but Franks says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Hart looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Franks seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Hart trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Franks manages to pass to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Franks trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franks is landing with some decent strikes but Hart is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
A nice elbow there by Franks.
Hart tries to hold on but Franks pushes him away.
Franks looking to finish with strikes here!
Hart is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hart is working to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Franks looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dennis Franks dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



A momentary lapse in concentration from Franks enables Hart to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Franks manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Franks lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hart!
Franks trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Hart tries to hold on but Franks pushes him away.
Franks wants to control the pace but Hart is squirming around nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hart can do anything to dispel that myth.

Franks is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Franks extends the arm and Hart is forced to tap!
