Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garik Harlamov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Komodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Garik Harlamov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Komodo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harlamov looking to score a takedown here. Komodo is defending well but Harlamov drives through and ends up in Komodo's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Harlamov throws a big elbow that misses.
Harlamov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Harlamov throws a strike but Komodo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Harlamov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Harlamov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Komodo defends well.
Komodo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harlamov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Komodo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harlamov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Komodo has managed to get both his arms back between Harlamov's legs - danger averted.

Harlamov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Komodo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Harlamov, into his guard.

Harlamov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Komodo throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Harlamov's body to avoid the submission. Harlamov has instead reached around Komodo's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Harlamov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Garik Harlamov!
A very excited looking Garik Harlamov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
