The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Warton.
Mercer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Warton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mercer sprawls well. Mercer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Warton gets slowly back to his feet.

We've been hearing reports that Warton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

A determined Alex Mercer didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
Jimmy Warton was interviewed post fight and said 'Flat out over-trained, was gassed before I even got in the ring.'.
