Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Varg Veide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jovon Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veide kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business. Chambers has chosen Carmen Gray-Gates of Loneliness as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chambers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chambers moves out of range as Veide strikes.
Veide misses with a hook to the body

and Chambers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Veide's guard now.
Chambers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Veide swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Veide is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Chambers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chambers working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Chambers sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Veide is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Chambers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Veide's head.

Chambers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Veide defends it well.

Chambers is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Chambers is looking to advance position but Veide has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Veide takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chambers darts in looking for a takedown but Veide gets double underhooks and turns Chambers into the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chambers rolls, trying to escape but Veide keeps control of the position.
Veide is riding his opponent, not letting Chambers buck him off.
Veide has the hooks in. Chambers is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Chambers is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Veide.

Chambers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Veide lands a hook that snaps the head of Chambers backwards.

Chambers gets control of Veide's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chambers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Chambers shoots in and gets a takedown into Veide's guard.
Veide is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Chambers drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Veide dives on top into guard.

Chambers is looking for a triangle here but Veide uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Chambers is looking for a sweep.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Chambers is looking to reverse the position.
Chambers seems a little lost for a moment, as Veide dominates the positioning.
Chambers tries to improve position but can't.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Veide decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Veide misses with a leg kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Veide. Chambers shrugs it off though.
