Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Lesnar closes the distance and clinches.

Lesnar drags the fight down to the ground.
Shaw passes Lesnar's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lesnar is not content to let Shaw control the position.
Shaw is pressing down on Lesnar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lesnar is holding on for now.

Shaw is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lesnar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Shaw decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Shaw wants to work for an arm triangle but Lesnar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Shaw is looking to advance position but Lesnar won't allow it.

Shaw is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lesnar wants to control but Shaw is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lesnar is refusing to be controlled, as Shaw sits in half guard.

Shaw seems to be working for a kimura but Lesnar defends the submission attempt.
Lesnar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shaw's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shaw's back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lesnar is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Shaw defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Shaw misses with a leg kick

and Lesnar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shaw's guard now.
Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shaw wants to hit a switch here but Lesnar passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Shaw there!
Lesnar thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Lesnar prevents Shaw from getting the reversal.
Lesnar controlling his opponent.
Shaw wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Lesnar has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Shaw has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

You can see the frustration on Shaw's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lesnar punches the canvas rather than the man.

Lesnar misses with an elbow to the head.
Shaw turns into Lesnar and is now in his guard.
Shaw advances to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lesnar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Shaw wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving.
Shaw throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Brad Shaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lesnar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lesnar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Shaw passes Lesnar's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Shaw is looking for a kimura but Lesnar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shaw to get the leverage.
Shaw wants to take a breather but Lesnar is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Brock Lesnar.
I think Shaw has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
