Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen has chosen Of wolf and man as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ivar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Allen to the mat! Allen manages to get full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ivar stops Allen from standing up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Allen holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Allen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ivar manages to get himself to full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jared Allen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Allen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Allen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Ivar is desperately trying to improve his position but Allen has a good base and remains in mount.
