The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands the left hand.

Thompson has closed the distance and engaged Dennis in a clinch.
Thompson is working for takedown but Dennis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Thompson wants to take the fight to the mat but Dennis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dennis is trying to force a seperation but Thompson has the dominant position.
Thompson lands with a right to the head.

Thompson breaks the clinch.
Dennis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thompson thows a body shot but no joy.
Thompson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Dennis blocks the body kick.
Dennis leaves Thompson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shelton Dennis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Thompson.

Thompson clinches up with Dennis and pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson misses with a body punch.

Thompson breaks the clinch.
Dennis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Thompson swinging wildly here.
Brock Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dennis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thompson as he avoids it easily.
Thompson is looking to chop away at Dennis's legs.
Dennis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Thompson takes a swing at Dennis's ribcage but misses.

Thompson drops Dennis with a beautiful combination! Dennis stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thompson is looking for the KO!

It looks like Shelton Dennis has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thompson throws a right hand that Dennis ducks under and follows up with a left that Dennis also avoids with ease.

Thompson has Dennis up against the cage in a clinch.

Dennis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dennis tries to clinch but Thompson moves away

and Thompson counters with a nice right hand that sends Dennis toppling to the canvas! Dennis scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Thompson finish him?!

Dennis is rocked!
Thompson feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Dennis crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brock Thompson!
A very excited looking Brock Thompson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
