Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miklo Velka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Velka's choice of entrance music: Cypress Hill - Insane In The Membrane. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macintosh uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Velka has time to react.

Velka moves into range and clinches up with Macintosh.
Velka stalling in the clinch but Macintosh improves position.
Macintosh blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Macintosh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Velka uses from the top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Macintosh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Velka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Velka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been hearing reports that Macintosh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Macintosh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Macintosh is really struggling to control Velka but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Macintosh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Macintosh is stalling here. Velka is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Macintosh seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Velka has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bud Macintosh just wasn't active enough.

Macintosh goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Velka has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Macintosh but great work by Velka.

Macintosh is desperately trying to improve his position but Velka has a good base and remains in mount.

Macintosh tries to lock up and control but Velka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Velka can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Macintosh is looking to escape.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Macintosh sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Macintosh moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Macintosh connects with a nice short shot to Velka's temple.

Velka is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Macintosh is defending well for now.

Macintosh wants the takedown. Velka is fighting it off but Macintosh persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Velka's guard against the cage.

Velka thows a body kick. Macintosh tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Macintosh misses with a takedown attempt - Velka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bud Macintosh. That's going to take a lot out of him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bud Macintosh.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Macintosh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
