The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velemir shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ramierez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ramierez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Velemir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Velemir is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ramierez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ramierez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Velemir should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ramierez has tightened it up now! Velemir should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
