The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Soderberg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dufva's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dufva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Soderberg does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Soderberg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dufva tries to avoid it but Soderberg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dufva to the ground. Dufva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sven Dufva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Soderberg, as that shot connected.

Dufva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Soderberg shoots in and drives through. Dufva sprawls well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Soderberg content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Dufva has locked up a guillotine! Dufva's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Soderberg is holding on here and Dufva must be using up a lot of energy. Soderberg has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Dufva gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
