Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Matias and Major Major. Chooooooooon! I think Matias might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Himno nacional argentino. Major has chosen Iron Man as his entrance music. Lionel Matias had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

With a record of 1 wins, 0 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of Tokyo, Major Major!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matias closes the distance and clinches.

Matias can't control as he wanted to and Major manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Matias is looking to work some ground and pound but Major has wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Major is on top in guard.

Matias working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Major doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Major manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Matias has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Major got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matias has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Major has managed to get both his arms back between Matias's legs - danger averted.

Major arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Matias's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
