The crowd seem to be enjoying Wild's choice of entrance music: Type O Negative - Love You to Death. Evgeniy Malkin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malkin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Malkin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wild throws an overhand right that lands on Malkin's shoulder, as Malkin tries to avoid the shot.
Wild tries to clinch but Malkin moves away

and Malkin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Malkin.
Wild trying to keep a closed guard but Malkin is proving a slippery customer.
Wild seems keen to control Malkin's posture.
Malkin wants to pass the guard but Wild is keeping the position.

Malkin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wild doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Malkin.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wild tries to roll over but Malkin keeps him under control.

Malkin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wild does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Malkin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wild keeps working.

Malkin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wild is just riding it out for now. Malkin eventually gives up the hold.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wild wants to control but Malkin is keeping busy.
Wild is staying active underneath Malkin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Wild is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Malkin has latched onto it... Big trouble! Malkin pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Wild is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Malkin!
