Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marley Musthafa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. Daniel Ryan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musthafa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ryan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Musthafa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Musthafa as he avoids it easily.
Musthafa throws a sloppy head kick and Ryan moves out of range easily.

Musthafa slips a jab from Ryan.
Ryan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Musthafa tries to avoid it but Ryan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Musthafa to the ground. Musthafa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Ryan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Ryan counters with a single leg into guard. Musthafa didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ryan won't allow Musthafa to get back to his feet.
Ryan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Musthafa's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ryan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Musthafa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ryan.
