The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guzman misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Shephard to counter with a crisp jab.
Shephard scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Mike Guzman has been cut.
Guzman keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Shephard connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shephard lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Guzman misses with a takedown
and Shephard counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Shephard throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Guzman looks winded!
Shephard works Guzman's body with a nice hook.
Guzman has his takedown stuffed
and Shephard counters with a left to the body.
German Shephard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Guzman.
Shephard cracks Guzman with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Guzman looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shephard finish him?
Guzman is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shephard lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Guzman head around and knocks him out cold! Shephard hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). German Shephard!
German Shephard gave a mention to Conquer in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
