Mars has chosen Solaar Pleure by Solaar as his entrance music. Coconut Sprinkles has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sprinkles looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sprinkles stands up over Mars, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sprinkles slips nicely into half guard.
Sprinkles throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sprinkles working over Mars with some ground and pound. Mars looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Sprinkles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mars does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mars tries to lock up and control but Sprinkles gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sprinkles sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Sprinkles jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mars is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mars and Sprinkles has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Mars is not content to let Sprinkles control the position.
Sprinkles throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sprinkles goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mars rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sprinkles's guard! Nice work there by Mars!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sprinkles avoids a punch combination nicely.

Sprinkles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mars manages to avoid it.
Sprinkles looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mars.
Vincent Mars seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mars takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mars tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mars throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sprinkles. Mars does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sprinkles takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Sprinkles stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mars.
Jab, jab by Mars - just one landing.
Sprinkles shoots for a double leg takedown but Mars sprawls well. He's pushed Sprinkles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sprinkles tries to move into range but Mars moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mars throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sprinkles on the side of the head.

Mars feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sprinkles's calf.
Sprinkles cracks Mars with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mars is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Sprinkles lands with a nice body punch.
Mars darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sprinkles connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Mars throws a body kick that misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Mars.
Mars jabs Sprinkles right on the nose. Sprinkles blinks but takes it well.
Sprinkles thuds a left hand into Mars's body.
The fighters circling - Sprinkles throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Sprinkles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mars.
Sprinkles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mars was well out of range. Poor timing from Sprinkles.
Sprinkles on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mars pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mars lands an overhand right.

Sprinkles lands a jab to Mars's midsection.
Mars tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab lands there for Mars.
Sprinkles misses with a body shot.
Mars stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sprinkles misses the shot to the body.
Sprinkles misses with a wild body shot.
Vincent Mars is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sprinkles takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mars wants to clinch.
Sprinkles misses with a takedown attempt - Mars sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mars tries to work over Sprinkles's front leg with a kick but Sprinkles checks it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sprinkles moves forwards but Mars connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sprinkles tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mars defends well and Sprinkles ends up having to push Mars into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Sprinkles blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mars has a couple of punches blocked by Sprinkles.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mars.
Mars lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sprinkles backwards.
Mars misses with a hook from the clinch.
Mars lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mars tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mars pushes Sprinkles back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sprinkles is rocked!
Mars stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Oh Sprinkles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice body punch from Mars - that landed with a thud.
Mars unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Sprinkles! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Mars is unloading with more strikes now! Sprinkles drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
