Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agamemnon Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Capwell is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Haunted - 99. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 2, fighting out of New York, Agamemnon Coon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Capwell!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coon pivots, looking for a leg kick but Capwell is out of range and Coon settles back down.
Coon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Coon looks to throw the jab but Capwell is out of range.

Capwell scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Capwell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Coon is trying to get back to full guard.
My spies in BigMouth Cabrons inform me that Capwell has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Coon is trying to maintain the position but Capwell is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Agamemnon Coon.
Capwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coon moves away.
Capwell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Coon's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Capwell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Coon scrambles back to his feet.
Coon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Capwell pinned against the cage. Capwell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Coon looks to land a right hand but Capwell moved out of range.
Coon misses with a hook. Capwell ducked under it nicely.
Capwell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Capwell lands a jab to Coon's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Capwell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Capwell lands with a cross.
Coon throws a nice outside leg kick.
Capwell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Capwell looks to land a right hand but Coon moved out of range.
Coon misses with a takedown attempt
and Capwell counters with a two punch combo.
Capwell misses the shot to the body.
Coon throws a hook but Capwell avoids it easily.

Capwell closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Coon quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Coon manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Coon wants to sweep but no luck.
Coon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Capwell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Coon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Coon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Capwell postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Coon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Coon lands with a nice body punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Capwell leaves Coon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Capwell slips a straight right by Coon.
Capwell throws a hook to the side of Coon's head but Coon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Coon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Capwell avoids it really well and circles away.
Capwell misses with a takedown attempt - Coon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mason Capwell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Coon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Capwell at a distance.
Capwell moves out of range of the strikes.
Capwell getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Capwell missing with a left hand there. Coon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mason Capwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Capwell takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Coon shoots in but Capwell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Capwell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Coon eats them both and turns towards Capwell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Coon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Capwell is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Capwell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Agamemnon Coon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Coon tries to score with some ground and pound. Capwell controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Coon is trying to ground and pound but Capwell uses the momentary lack of control by Coon to regain half guard.

Coon thows a huge punch but Capwell dodges it nicely.

Coon is working Capwell over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Capwell pulls Coon in close to his closed guard and prevents Coon from doing any damage or advancing position.
Coon throws a big elbow that misses.
Coon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Capwell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Coon is looking to work some ground and pound but Capwell has wrist control.

Coon wants to control from the top but Capwell keeps moving.

Agamemnon Coon has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Coon ducks under a wild hook from Capwell.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coon slips a jab from Capwell.
Capwell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Coon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Agamemnon Coon dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Capwell throws a lazy right hand but Coon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Capwell cracks a nice hook into Coon's ribs.
Coon slaps away a takedown attempt from Capwell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Coon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Coon attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Capwell darts in looking for a takedown but Coon gets double underhooks and turns Capwell into the cage.
Coon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Capwell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Coon goes for a takedown attempt but Capwell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Capwell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Coon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Agamemnon Coon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Capwell.
Capwell shoots in for a takedown but Coon shows good takedown defense.
Coon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Coon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Capwell dives in for a single leg takedown but Coon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Coon is working for takedown but Capwell is calmly controlling the position for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Capwell prevents a takedown attempt there.
Capwell tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Coon tries to score a body lock takedown but Capwell shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Capwell has a couple of punches blocked by Coon.
Coon goes for a takedown attempt but Capwell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Capwell throws a body punch but Coon moves out of range.
Coon is looking to score with low kicks.
Capwell stuffs the takedown.
Capwell misses with a wild body shot.
A swing and a miss from Capwell.

Capwell misses with an uppercut. Coon saw that one coming.
Coon takes one to the chin there.
Capwell moves out of range as Coon strikes.
Capwell scores with a hook.
Coon misses with a few strikes there.

Capwell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Capwell will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Coon up against the cage.

Coon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Capwell fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Capwell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Capwell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coon keeps working.

Coon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Capwell's best efforts.
Coon wants to control but Capwell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Capwell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Coon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Capwell is in close to Coon's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Coon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Coon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Capwell is one step ahead there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mason Capwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Capwell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
