Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolay Golikipov!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golikipov stuffs the takedown attempt from Mcdonald. Mcdonald gets slowly back to his feet.
Mcdonald tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Golikipov swivels and escapes.
Mcdonald takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Golikipov lands a nice looking body shot.
Mcdonald shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mcdonald cracks Golikipov with a solid left hand.

Mcdonald has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mcdonald slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mcdonald is in close to Golikipov's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Golikipov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mcdonald stops Golikipov from standing up.
Mcdonald drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Mcdonald seems to have locked his on tight now - Golikipov screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Mcdonald, as he picks up the win!

After winning the bout, Danny Mcdonald thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
