Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conan Chulainn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conan Chulainn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo tries to sprawl but Chulainn drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Aldo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chulainn scores with a couple of nice shots.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chulainn in particular looking to stall.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chulainn in particular looking to stall.
It looks like Chulainn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Conan Chulainn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Aldo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Aldo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chulainn doesn't seem bothered though.
Chulainn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aldo to the mat! Aldo manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chulainn is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Aldo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big shot lands for Chulainn! That's hurt Aldo! Will he recover? Chulainn fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
