The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tantor lands a body shot.
Grozni closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Ivan Grozni has been cut.
Tantor misses with an uppercut. Grozni saw that one coming.
Grozni misses with a lunging right hand
and Tantor counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Grozni ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Grozni cracks Tantor with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Grozni scores with a jab.
A left lands for Tantor.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Grozni moves into the clinch.
Tantor swings wildly with an uppercut but Grozni uses good head movement to avoid it.

Grozni manages to pull guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Grozni is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Grozni is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Grozni scores with a sloppy right hand. Tantor should have avoided that one.
Tantor walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

A big right from Grozni misses.
Tantor thumps Grozni with a low kick.
Grozni has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tantor finds it's way round the side to connect with Grozni's head.

Tantor fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Grozni is still on wobbly legs! Can Tantor finish him?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tantor cracks Grozni with a left hook right on the temple and Grozni goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Tantor lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Grozni is OK!

A relieved looking Almu Tantor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
