The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
An inside leg kick from Dixon misses.
Blackford moves out of range of the leg kick from Dixon.
Dixon takes a swing at Blackford's ribcage but misses.
Blackford pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dixon back to the cage. Blackford follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Vince Dixon has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dixon tries to sprawl but Blackford drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Blackford looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dixon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dixon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dixon connects with a nice short shot to Blackford's temple.
