Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Torello!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torello is looking to land body kicks.
Escobar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Torello misses with a body kick.
Torello feints and then cracks Escobar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Escobar down.
Torello tries a head kick but it misses.
Torello lunges at Escobar with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Escobar's hand.
Torello is looking to chop away at Escobar's legs.
Torello lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Torello throws out a leg kick but Escobar moves out of range and Torello only half commits.
Torello is looking to score with low kicks.
Torello connects with a leg kick. Escobar looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Torello tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Escobar was well out of range. Poor timing from Torello.

Torello misses with a jab to the body
and Escobar counters with a one-two to the body.
Torello throws a lazy right hand but Escobar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Torello does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Torello connects with a right hand. Escobar shakes it off.

Torello fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Escobar.
Torello swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Escobar sneaks back into half guard.
Escobar tries to get to full guard but Torello has control of the leg.
Torello works his way into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Torello dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Torello swings for the body but Escobar moves out of range.
Torello bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Escobar's head backwards.
Torello misses with a body shot.
Torello fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Escobar.

Torello throws a low kick, looking for Escobar's leg but Escobar calmly moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Escobar 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Torello scores with a nice strike.
Torello has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Torello closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Escobar did well to prevent Torello getting side control.

Escobar wants to get back to full guard.
Torello wants to free his trapped foot but Escobar is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Escobar is looking for a sweep. Torello is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Torello throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Torello is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Escobar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Torello defends well.

Escobar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Torello uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Escobar has time to react.

Escobar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Escobar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Torello!
Escobar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Torello stops Escobar from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Escobar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Torello because Escobar loaded up on that one.
Torello is squirming around, avoiding Escobar's attempts to control the action.

Escobar tries to pass to full mount but Torello defends it.

Torello might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Escobar haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Pablo Escobar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Escobar has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Well Torello has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
