PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Voda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kessler comes to the cage accompanied by Yattering - Chase of Thoughts . Voda has chosen Lamb of God - Walk With Me In Hell as his entrance music. Jeremy Voda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Kessler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Voda!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voda throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kessler throws a sloppy head kick and Voda moves out of range easily.
Kessler throws a head kick that half lands.
Voda stuns Kessler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Voda's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kessler connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Voda scrambles back to his feet.
Kessler avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kessler dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Voda. That did some damage!
Jeremy Voda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kessler pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kessler lands a lovely overhand right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Voda smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Voda missing with a left hand there. Kessler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Voda thumps Kessler with a low kick.
Voda scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Voda fails with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Voda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kessler throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kessler misses the jab.
Voda misses with a looping right.
Voda throws a lazy right hand but Kessler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Voda.
Nice body punch from Kessler.
Voda has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Voda there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Voda jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Voda wants to clinch.
Kessler swings widly with a right hand

and Voda counters with a single leg into guard. Kessler didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kessler looking to control.
Voda content to stall in guard here.
Kessler wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voda trying to control but Kessler is working from the bottom.

Kessler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Voda defends it easily.
Voda is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kessler trying to keep a closed guard but Voda is proving a slippery customer.
Voda stays in close to Kessler's body and controls the position.
Voda lands a couple of digs.
Voda with a flurry of punches that miss.
Voda postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Voda trying to control but Kessler is working from the bottom.
Voda postures up.
Voda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Voda has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kessler.
Voda looks to land a right hand but Kessler moved out of range.
Kessler lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kessler stuffs the takedown.
Jack Kessler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Voda.
Kessler scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Voda digs a good body shot into Kessler's ribs.
Kessler scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Voda will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Voda misses with the combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Kessler will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kessler lands a nice leg kick that just misses Voda's sensitive parts.

Voda throws a left that rocks Kessler and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Voda dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Kessler regain composure!


Kessler is rocked!


It looks like Jack Kessler has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kessler parries the strikes from Voda easily there. Voda is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kessler to escape.
Oh Kessler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kessler is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kessler takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Voda blocks the strikes from Kessler.

Voda looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Voda lands a strong strike to the head of Kessler. That's dazed him! Voda looking to finish here. Kessler is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Voda lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Voda!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Jeremy Voda waved his t-shirt featuring Ace of Spades Clothing's logo in front of the cameras.
