A fine choice. Haigh has chosen Macabre - Acid Bath Vampire as his entrance music. John Haigh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Kehoe!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Haigh!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haigh throws a hook to the side of Kehoe's head but Kehoe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Haigh takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kehoe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Haigh.
Haigh throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kehoe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kehoe looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kehoe swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Haigh.
Kehoe lands with a nice body punch.
Kehoe throws a body kick that misses.
Kehoe throws a one two combo.

Andrew Kehoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kehoe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haigh moves away.
Haigh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Haigh has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kehoe does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Haigh closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kehoe to the mat! Kehoe manages to get full guard.

Kehoe is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Haigh wants to control from the top but Kehoe keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Haigh was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Haigh closes the distance and clinches up with Kehoe, looking for a takedown. Haigh pushes Kehoe against the cage but Kehoe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Haigh misses with an uppercut. Kehoe saw that one coming.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kehoe - that will leave a mark!
Kehoe connects with a nice looking jab.
Haigh misses with a straight left.
Haigh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Haigh takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kehoe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kehoe.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kehoe, as that shot connected.
Kehoe throws a leg kick which misses Haigh's front leg but catches the back leg as Haigh tries to avoid it.
Haigh moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kehoe throws a shot from downtown. Haigh moves away and avoids it.
Kehoe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Haigh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Haigh throws a lazy right hand but Kehoe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Haigh looks to throw the jab but Kehoe is out of range.
Kehoe throws a front kick that sends Haigh stumbling back into the cage.
Haigh fails with a takedown attempt.
Kehoe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Haigh dives in and grabs Kehoe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kehoe pushes down on Haigh's head and hops out.
Kehoe cracks Haigh with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kehoe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kehoe pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Haigh back to the cage. Kehoe follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Haigh blocks a head kick by Kehoe.
Kehoe throws a right and a left that Haigh avoids nicely.
Haigh takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Haigh or perhaps it was just good defense by Kehoe which made him look bad.

It looks like Kehoe has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Kehoe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Haigh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Haigh tries to buck Kehoe off but Kehoe is having none of it.
Kehoe is staying tight to Haigh's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kehoe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haigh keeps working.
Kehoe is trying to ground and pound but Haigh uses the momentary lack of control by Kehoe to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haigh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kehoe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haigh somewhat.

Haigh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kehoe sprawls well. Kehoe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Haigh gets slowly back to his feet.

Kehoe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kehoe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Haigh. That did some damage!

Haigh might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Kehoe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Haigh circles away quickly and effectively.

Kehoe drops Haigh with a naaaaasty hook - Haigh is in real trouble here! Kehoe dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

John Haigh spoke after the fight, saying 'Vittu.'.
