Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bertram Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Daman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Daman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daman fails with the takedown

and Holder counters with a single leg into guard. Daman didn't expect that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Daman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Daman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Holder is controlling him.
Holder with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Daman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holder doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holder manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Daman is looking to get back to full guard here but Holder has managed to pass to side control instead.
Holder could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Daman was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Daman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Holder misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Daman has his foot on Holder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Holder works his way back into a safe position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Daman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Holder defends well.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Daman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Holder has him pressed against the cage.
Daman jumps guard but Holder stands there with Daman around his waist. Daman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bertram Holder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Daman.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Holder walks away with a smile on his face. Daman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Daman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Daman clinches.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Daman. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Daman lands a good knee to the midsection. Holder won't want to take too many of those.
Holder blocks an elbow strike from Daman.
Daman lands a knee to the head.
Holder misses with a hook from the clinch.

Daman breaks the clinch.

Holder shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holder was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Daman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Daman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Holder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Daman is just riding it out for now. Holder eventually gives up the hold.

Daman is looking to cinch up a triangle. Holder throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Daman's body to avoid the submission. Daman has instead reached around Holder's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Daman arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dan Daman!
