Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rigoberto Nichols (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stripe Pipey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stripe Pipey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rigoberto Nichols!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stripe Pipey!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pipey is looking to clinch but Nichols is avoiding it.
Nichols shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pipey counters with a slapping leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pipey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pipey shoots in but no luck this time.
Pipey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Nichols is looking for a sweep.
Nichols prevents Pipey from moving into mount.
Nichols sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Pipey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nichols keeps working.
Pipey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pipey throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pipey decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Nichols swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nichols.
Nichols looks for a takedown but Pipey sprawls well.

Nichols tries to clinch but Pipey moves out of range.

Nichols shoots in looking for a takedown. Pipey tries to sprawl out of it but Nichols keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pipey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pipey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nichols defends it nicely.

and Nichols counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Pipey rushes Nichols and presses him up against the cage.

Pipey tries to score a body lock takedown but Nichols shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Nichols is trying to break free.
Nichols tries to stall but Pipey uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Nichols tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pipey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pipey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pipey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nichols keeps working.

Pipey decides to stand back up. Pipey steps back and let's Nichols get back to his feet.
Nichols sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Nichols is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pipey closes the distance and clinches.
Pipey decides to pull guard.
Nichols avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pipey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pipey is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Nichols has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stripe Pipey dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pipey closes the distance and clinches.
Pipey has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Nichols is trying to keep an underhook but Pipey manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Pipey decides to stand and escape the position.
Pipey has Nichols up against the cage in a clinch.
Pipey lands an elbow that stopped Nichols in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Rigoberto Nichols has been cut.
Pipey tries to pull guard but Nichols forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Pipey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nichols manages to get himself to full guard.
Nichols will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pipey wants to control from the top but Nichols keeps moving.

Pipey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Pipey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Nichols is trying to control the position but Pipey postures up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Stripe Pipey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Nichols closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pipey circles away.

and Pipey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pipey.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pipey is trying to pull guard but Nichols turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Pipey breaks from the clinch.
Nichols changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pipey tries to avoid it but Nichols manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pipey to the ground. Pipey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rigoberto Nichols. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nichols ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pipey moves away.
Nichols misses with a wild body shot.
Pipey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pipey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Nichols working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pipey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pipey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nichols can't keep his opponent in guard - Pipey advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
