Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Conan Chulainn!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns connects with a single shot there.
Johns lands with a shot to the body.
Johns tries to clinch but Chulainn moves out of range.

Chulainn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johns's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Chulainn stops Johns from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chulainn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Chulainn is pushing down on Johns's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johns is fighting to maintain full guard but Chulainn has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chulainn connects with a nice short shot to Johns's temple.

Chulainn is looking to take a break and control but Johns is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chulainn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johns with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chulainn lands a nice short elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chulainn in particular looking to stall.

Johns on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Chulainn is keen to just control but Johns is a slippery customer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Conan Chulainn dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Chulainn gets a clinch.
Chulainn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Johns after a bit of a struggle.
Johns prevents the takedown attempt.

Chulainn has clasped his hands together around Johns's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Chulainn cracks Johns with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Oh Johns is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chulainn looks up at the clock and then as Johns takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chulainn smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Chulainn scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Johns is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Chulainn can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
