Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Goodlon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Goodlon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Grant Knott!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodlon blocks a head kick by Knott.
Knott goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Knott goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Goodlon moves out of range of the body kick from Knott.
Knott is looking to land body kicks.
Knott connects with a leg kick. Goodlon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Goodlon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knott.
Knott throws a head kick but Goodlon moves out of range.
Knott lands a nice looking kick to the body. Goodlon takes a step back to recover.

A nice leg kick lands there from Knott.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Knott. Goodlon shrugs it off though.
Knott pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Knott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Goodlon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Knott lands a nice looking body kick.
Knott looks to land a body kick but Goodlon moved away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Knott.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knott.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Knott.
Knott scores with a head kick.
Goodlon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knott.
Knott looks to score with a jab to the body but Goodlon is just out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Knott.

Knott throws the kick towards the body but Goodlon avoids it.
Knott tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Knott throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Goodlon.
No joy there for Knott, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Knott looks for the body kick but Goodlon saw that one coming.
Knott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Knott.
Goodlon is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Goodlon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Knott feints and then cracks Goodlon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Goodlon down.
Grant Knott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Goodlon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Knott thows a body shot but no joy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knott misses with a combination

so Goodlon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Goodlon passes Knott's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Goodlon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Knott has hold of Goodlon's hands but Goodlon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Knott pushes Goodlon off looking to stand but Goodlon dives back in and keeps control.
Knott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Knott.
Goodlon lands a couple of digs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knott is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Goodlon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Knott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goodlon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Goodlon landing some decent shots from guard.
Knott wants to get back to his feet but Goodlon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Knott wants to hit a switch here but Goodlon passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Knott there!

It looks like Grant Knott has been cut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Knott is in a horrible position here. Goodlon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goodlon raining down shots from the mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Robbie Goodlon will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Grant Knott's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Goodlon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knott.


That has opened up Grant Knott's cut even more.
Knott looks to land a body kick but Goodlon moved away.
Knott scores with a leg kick.
Grant Knott seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Knott takes a swing at Goodlon's ribcage but misses.
Knott connects with an inside leg kick.
Knott scoring well with a low kick there.
Knott lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Knott with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Knott throws a nice outside leg kick.
Knott throws a sloppy head kick and Goodlon moves out of range easily.

Knott lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Goodlon moves out of range of the body kick from Knott.
Knott lands a head kick. Goodlon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Goodlon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Knott pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Grant Knott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knott bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Knott finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Goodlon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Knott. Knott obviously looking to wear him down.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Knott.
Knott throws a nice outside leg kick.
Knott throws a head kick that misses

and Goodlon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Knott!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Goodlon looks up at the clock and then as Knott takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Goodlon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Grant Knott's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Grant Knott's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
