Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davi Lucca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George McArthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George McArthur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Davi Lucca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George McArthur!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucca throws a body punch but McArthur moves out of range.

Lucca manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McArthur on his heels. He'll look to pass McArthur's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lucca stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McArthur swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McArthur has his foot on Lucca's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lucca works his way back into a safe position though.

McArthur looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lucca decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McArthur, up you get!
McArthur feints a jab promting Lucca to slip. McArthur then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lucca slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

McArthur wants to break free but Lucca has control.
Lucca manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lucca prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lucca gets control of McArthur's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lucca will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

McArthur has gone for a leg lock! Lucca slips out almost immediately though and dives into McArthur's guard.

McArthur is working an open guard so Lucca takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
McArthur shoots for a takedown but Lucca saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Davi Lucca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George McArthur.

McArthur is looking to stand up but Lucca isn't so interested in that idea.
Lucca slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lucca throws a hook to the side of McArthur's head but McArthur sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McArthur fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Lucca counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

McArthur is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lucca is aware though and is defending well.

McArthur is looking to get back to his feet here but Lucca is keeping cool and he's managed to take McArthur's back.

Lucca is working for a rear naked choke. McArthur is not defending it well and Lucca has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! McArthur refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of McArthur's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
