The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundgrenson thuds his right hand into Mendez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lundgrenson throws a lazy right hand but Mendez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dolph Lundgrenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mendez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mendez walks into a jab.

It looks like Kiko Mendez has been cut.
Lundgrenson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mendez moves away.
Mendez takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lundgrenson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mendez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lundgrenson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mendez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lundgrenson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Brick Brawlers MMA (12 Coaches) in the buildup to the fight.
Mendez takes one on the button.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mendez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Mendez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lundgrenson defends it nicely.
Mendez on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Mendez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lundgrenson drops Mendez with a huge uppercut! Mendez drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Lundgrenson is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
