PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Rymar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rymar comes to the cage accompanied by I belive i can fly. The crowd seem to be enjoying White's choice of entrance music: gLAdiator - Magnum. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Rymar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James White!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rymar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rymar lands in his opponent's guard.

White has his foot on Rymar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rymar works his way back into a safe position though.
Rymar throws a big right hand that misses.

White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rymar defends it easily.

Rymar got a little sloppy there for a moment and White has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rymar has managed to get both his arms back between White's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rymar throwing strikes but missing.
Rymar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Rymar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

White looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rymar is aware though and is defending well.

Rymar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rymar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground.
Rymar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rymar's corner is telling him to maintain position.

White working for a triangle but Rymar defends it easily.
Rymar works over White with some ground and pound from guard.
Rymar wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
White is trying to control the position but Rymar postures up.
Rymar trying to control but White is working from the bottom.
Rymar stands up over White, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Rymar cracks White with a solid left hand.
Rymar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rymar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rymar is sitting in close to White's body. White has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rymar is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rymar is tapping! That was a very nice submission by White.
