Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eiji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Player (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Player has chosen Jeezy - Foul Play as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eiji Kawashima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gary Player!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawashima bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gary Player seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Player cracks Kawashima with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Player digs a good hook to Kawashima's body.
A bone on bone clash there as Player blocks the leg kick.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Player has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Eiji Kawashima will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Player lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
