The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis connects with a crisp jab.
Pettis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pettis lands a left and a right that send Shafiq crashing to the mat, dazed. Pettis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Shafiq is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fight stays on the outside here - Shafiq looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oh Shafiq is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pettis connects with a stiff jab that staggers Shafiq - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
