Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eikichi Onizuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nero Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Onizuka's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, GTO's Greatest Moments. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eikichi Onizuka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nero Padilla!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onizuka looks for the body kick but Padilla saw that one coming.
Onizuka fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Padilla.
Padilla throws a head kick that misses.
Padilla throws a sloppy body shot
and Onizuka counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Onizuka thows a body shot but no joy.

Onizuka darts in and clinches Padilla up against the cage.
Padilla misses with a short punch on the inside.
Onizuka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Padilla walks away with a smile on his face. Onizuka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Padilla. That's going to slow Onizuka down.
Onizuka uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Padilla has time to react.


It looks like Nero Padilla has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sloppy strikes from Onizuka. Those never looked like landing.
Padilla throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Onizuka moves away from the strike by Padilla.

Onizuka drops Padilla with a left right combo! Onizuka follows him down to the ground into side control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Onizuka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Onizuka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Padilla sneaks back into half guard.

Onizuka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Padilla has managed to free his arm - good work.
Padilla is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Padilla has control of Onizuka's left arm, preventing Onizuka from doing any damage.

Onizuka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Padilla works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Onizuka chips away with some ground and pound.
Onizuka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Onizuka wants to pass the guard but Padilla is keeping the position.
Padilla wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Padilla fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Onizuka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Padilla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Onizuka.
Padilla throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Onizuka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Padilla manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Padilla buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A cross from Padilla lands.
Onizuka misses with a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eikichi Onizuka will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Nero Padilla's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Padilla takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nero Padilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Padilla.
Onizuka moves out of range of the body kick.
Padilla avoids the head kick by Onizuka.
Onizuka slips a jab and a cross from Padilla.

Padilla gets tackled into the cage by Onizuka. Onizuka maintains the clinch.
Padilla digs a right hand into Onizuka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Onizuka's gas tank.

Onizuka blocks an uppercut.
Onizuka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Padilla to keep the fight standing.
Onizuka is trying to break the clinch but Padilla has him pressed against the cage.
Padilla gets through Onizuka's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Padilla is leaning against Onizuka and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Padilla is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Onizuka is defending well for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Onizuka has a hand on Padilla's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Padilla takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Onizuka tries to lock up and control but Padilla gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Onizuka manages to regain half guard. Good work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Onizuka wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Padilla fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Onizuka has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Onizuka throws a head kick but Padilla moves out of range.
Padilla lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Padilla bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Padilla tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Onizuka was well out of range. Poor timing from Padilla.

Onizuka steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Padilla. That one must have hurt.
Padilla moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Onizuka takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Padilla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Onizuka.
Nero Padilla seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A slapping leg kick lands for Padilla.
Padilla is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Padilla has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Padilla looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Onizuka fails to land with a series of punches.
Onizuka tries to clinch up but Padilla circles away and keeps his distance.
Onizuka is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Padilla lands with an overhand left.
Padilla catches Onizuka with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


Onizuka is rocked!
Padilla cracks Onizuka with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Onizuka tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Padilla pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Onizuka is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nero Padilla!
Nero Padilla decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
