The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa misses with a wild combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boa. Barakus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Kj Barakus has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Boa has a couple of punches blocked by Barakus.

Boa swings wildly with an uppercut but Barakus uses good head movement to avoid it.

Barakus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barakus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Boa rushes Barakus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Boa pushes off an throws an elbow but Barakus leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Barakus jumps guard but Boa stands there with Barakus around his waist. Barakus gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boa will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Barakus up against the cage.

Constrictor Boa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barakus is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Boa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Barakus manages to get himself to full guard.

Boa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barakus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boa has managed to get both his arms back between Barakus's legs - danger averted.

Constrictor Boa wins by unanimous decision!
Constrictor Boa spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Kj Barakus was interviewed post fight and said 'Hats off to Griggs, he was the better man tonight, Im nearing the end of my career, so ill fight in till Cornell wants me. Thank you to all my fans supporting me. God bless.'.
