Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalama looks to score with a jab to the body but Wei is just out of range.
Zalama misses with an uppercut. Wei saw that one coming.
Zalama throws a shot to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wei. Zalama shrugs it off though.
Zalama takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wei slips under a jab.
Wei bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Zalama has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wei looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wei sizes up Zalama with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zalama tries to clinch but Wei is having none of it.

Wei closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Zalama parries the strikes from Wei easily there. Wei is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zalama to escape.
Zalama is letting Wei control him for a moment.
Wei is looking to take a break and control but Zalama is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Zalama's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Wei looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Zalama takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Wei working the strikes but Zalama uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Wei seems to be working for a kimura but Zalama defends the submission attempt.
Still in half guard, Wei seems content to control.
Wei has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wei in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Zalama tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Wei!
