The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Saw fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Taylor sprawls well initially but The Saw persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Taylor tries to roll over but The Saw keeps him under control.
Taylor trying to control but The Saw postures up.
Taylor is looking for a sweep. The Saw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The Saw thows a huge punch but Taylor dodges it nicely.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Taylor is defending against the submission attempts here by The Saw.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Saw looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Saw seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Taylor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The Saw is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The Saw performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Taylor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. The Saw is working away from the top position though.
The Saw throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Gavin Taylor has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Taylor tries to score a body lock takedown but The Saw shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Taylor tries to pull guard but The Saw forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Taylor avoids the elbow strike from The Saw, against the cage.

The Saw drags the fight down to the ground.
Taylor controlling from the top position.
The Saw pulls Taylor in close to his closed guard and prevents Taylor from doing any damage or advancing position.
The Saw is looking to stand up but Taylor isn't so interested in that idea.

Taylor wants to control from the top but The Saw keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as The Saw holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gavin Taylor.

The Saw fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Taylor to the ground. The Saw is now in Taylor's guard.
Taylor has his hands on The Saw's head, controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Taylor tries to clinch but The Saw moves out of range.

Taylor gets caught flat footed, as The Saw shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The Saw trying to control but Taylor is working from the bottom.
The Saw is stalling in the full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Taylor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jack The Saw wasn't active enough on the ground.
Taylor throws a sloppy head kick and The Saw moves out of range easily.

The Saw drives through and clinches with Taylor against the cage.
Taylor is trying to pull guard but The Saw has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gavin Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taylor wants to get back to striking at distance but The Saw won't allow it.
Taylor drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Saw pulls his leg out and moves away.

The Saw instigates a clinch.

The Saw has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Taylor regains guard immediately.
Taylor looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Taylor lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for The Saw!
The Saw swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The Saw tries to hold on but Taylor pushes him away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The Saw takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The Saw is squirming around, avoiding Taylor's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack The Saw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


The Saw circles away from the clinch attempt.
Taylor fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The Saw gets in close and instigates a clinch.

The Saw pushes Taylor off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Saw sprawls well. The Saw wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Taylor gets slowly back to his feet.

The Saw bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Taylor is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The Saw wants to pass to mount but Taylor is defending the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gavin Taylor.

The Saw shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Taylor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Taylor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because The Saw is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The Saw wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The Saw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. The Saw showed some decent athleticism there.
The Saw tries to pass the half guard into mount. Taylor knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Taylor tries to get to full guard but The Saw has control of the leg.
The Saw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Taylor is not content to let The Saw control the position.

Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Taylor manages to get to full guard.
The Saw would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gavin Taylor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jack The Saw is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The Saw must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well The Saw has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
