Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mecha Reagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reagan comes to the cage accompanied by The Reaganator Lives!!!. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mecha Reagan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Beckett!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckett shoots in but Reagan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Reagan.
Beckett misses with a looping left.
Reagan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beckett sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Beckett moves away from the strike by Reagan.
Reagan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Beckett.
Reagan checks the leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Beckett.
Beckett throws a quick inside leg kick.
Beckett lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Reagan misses with an attempted mid kick.
Reagan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beckett was well out of range. Poor timing from Reagan.
Reagan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Beckett with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Reagan moves out of range of the body kick.
Beckett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reagan.
Reagan looks to score with a jab to the body but Beckett is just out of range.
Reagan misses with a combination

and Beckett decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reagan's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Beckett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reagan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beckett has managed to get both his arms back between Reagan's legs - danger averted.

Reagan has momentary wrist control but Beckett slips an elbow through the middle.

Reagan keeping moving, preventing Beckett from controlling successfully.
Beckett is looking to work some ground and pound but Reagan has wrist control.
Beckett lands a couple of elbows.

Beckett tries to free his leg and advance position but Reagan is retaining full guard.
Reagan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beckett in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Reagan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reagan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Beckett controls the pace.
Beckett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reagan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Beckett content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beckett trying to control but Reagan is working from the bottom.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Beckett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Beckett trying to control the position from guard on top but Reagan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Beckett working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reagan seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

We're going to have a standup here because Mecha Reagan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Reagan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Reagan lands a nice shot that snaps Beckett's head back.
Reagan throws an overhand right that lands on Beckett's shoulder, as Beckett tries to avoid the shot.
Beckett connects with a body shot.
Beckett slips a jab from Reagan.
A head kick misses from Beckett.
Reagan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reagan. Beckett does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Good work by Beckett as he checks the leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Beckett.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reagan throws a wild body kick that Beckett sees coming a mile off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reagan throws a series of punches but Beckett avoids them all with ease.
Beckett throws out a loose jab but Reagan uses good head movement to avoid it.
A right-left combo lands from Reagan.
Reagan throws the kick towards the body but Beckett avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Beckett dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Beckett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reagan has time to react.
Beckett avoids the body shot from Reagan.
Beckett slips a straight right by Reagan.
Beckett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Reagan checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Beckett plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Mecha Reagan has been cut.
Reagan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beckett moves away.
No joy there for Reagan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Reagan is rocked!

Beckett gets a double leg takedown into Reagan's guard.
Oh Reagan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beckett gets to his feet and stands over Reagan, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Reagan felt that one! Beckett unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Reagan from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Beckett!
Jim Beckett thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Mecha Reagan spoke after the fight, saying 'Well, at least we had fun.'.
