Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jigster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Keith Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Jigster!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jigster lands with a kick to the temple. Hughes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jigster thumps Hughes with a low kick.
Jigster tries a head kick but it misses.
Hughes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jigster pinned against the cage. Jigster gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hughes gets a clinch.
Jigster gets through Hughes's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Hughes wants a takedown but no success here.

Jigster pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hughes takes a kick to the side of the head.

Jigster instigates a clinch.
Hughes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jigster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hughes takes a body punch but keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jigster doesn't manage to clinch there - Hughes circles away.

Hughes darts in looking for a takedown but Jigster gets double underhooks and turns Hughes into the cage.

Hughes goes for a double leg but Jigster avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jigster continues to drive forward.
Jigster drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hughes pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jigster throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hughes wants to clinch up but Jigster keeps it at a distance.
Jigster throws a head kick that misses.
Hughes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jigster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hughes somewhat.
A head kick from Jigster lands but Hughes takes it in his stride.
Jigster throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hughes.

Jigster gets a clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Hughes tries to pull guard but Jigster holds him up against the cage and eventually Hughes drops back down to his feet.
Jigster gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hughes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hughes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ground and pound from Hughes seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Jigster is trying to get back to half guard.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jigster is not content to let Hughes control the position.
Jigster is letting Hughes control him for a moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Keith Hughes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Jigster swats away the attempt to clinch by Hughes.
Jigster thows a body kick. Hughes tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Jigster throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jigster feints and then cracks Hughes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hughes down.

Hughes drives through with a takedown into Jigster's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hughes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jigster wants to stand up but Hughes is controlling him.

Hughes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jigster defends well and Hughes ends up having to push Jigster into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hughes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hughes has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hughes shoots in for a double leg but Jigster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jigster shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hughes eats them both and turns towards Jigster to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jigster gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hughes to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hughes stands and steps away. Jigster gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
