Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Testing Inprogress (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Funk McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funk McTavish has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Testing Inprogress's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Testing Inprogress!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Funk McTavish!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inprogress lands a nice shot to the body.
Inprogress connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McTavish momentarily.
McTavish fails to land the takedown.
McTavish on the wrong end of a nice jab.

McTavish throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Inprogress tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McTavish is in Inprogress's guard.
Inprogress looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Inprogress is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Inprogress bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McTavish's guard.
Inprogress is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McTavish controls Inprogress momentarily but Inprogress frees himself.

Inprogress wants to stand but McTavish is controlling his posture from full guard.
Inprogress controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Inprogress trying to control but McTavish is working from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Testing Inprogress wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
McTavish with a poor takedown
enabling Inprogress to counter with a crisp jab.
Inprogress works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
McTavish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fighters circling - Inprogress throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McTavish tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Inprogress is able to avoid easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McTavish fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Testing Inprogress has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Funk McTavish.
McTavish takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No luck for McTavish with that takedown attempt.
Inprogress wants to clinch.
McTavish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Inprogress.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Inprogress scores with a decent looking hook.
Inprogress is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

McTavish rushes Inprogress and presses him up against the cage.

Inprogress misses with a hook to the ribs.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Inprogress.
Inprogress lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Inprogress lands with a short head shot on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Inprogress creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Inprogress is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Inprogress.
Inprogress stops a takedown attempt from McTavish.
Inprogress is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Inprogress lands with a short shot to the head.

McTavish wants the takedown. Inprogress is fighting it off but McTavish persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Inprogress's guard against the cage.

McTavish avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McTavish trying to control but Inprogress is working from the bottom.
Inprogress will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Inprogress wants to sweep but no luck.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McTavish trying to control the position from guard on top but Inprogress is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Inprogress really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Inprogress is trying to control the position but McTavish postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Inprogress tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Testing Inprogress dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Inprogress uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McTavish.
McTavish tries to move into range but Inprogress moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Inprogress is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Inprogress swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

McTavish closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McTavish is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Inprogress has escaped the position, nice work there.

McTavish thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Inprogress struggling a bit here.

McTavish is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Inprogress is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Inprogress is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McTavish wants to lay and pray for a moment but Inprogress keeps working.
Inprogress trying to hold on to McTavish's head to control him but McTavish postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McTavish trying to mount his opponent but Inprogress defends it.
Inprogress trying to get back to full guard but McTavish takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
McTavish wants to take Inprogress's back here but Inprogress is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Inprogress is in all sorts of trouble here.
Inprogress regains half guard.
McTavish is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Inprogress!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Inprogress is desperately trying to improve his position but McTavish has a good base and remains in mount.

McTavish is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Inprogress has managed to escape the submission attempt.
McTavish looking to control but Inprogress is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Inprogress bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Inprogress has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McTavish is proving hard to escape from.

McTavish looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Inprogress wanted to stand there but McTavish had control of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McTavish has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Inprogress doesn't defend quickly enough and McTavish has managed to lock this one up! Can Inprogress escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to McTavish on a fantastic submission victory.
