The crowd seem to be enjoying Sermera's choice of entrance music: HARKA. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abreham Killyousovizh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Sermera!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Ben Watson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sermera takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Killyousovizh thows a body kick. Sermera tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Killyousovizh lunges at Sermera with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sermera's hand.
Sermera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Killyousovizh sprawls well. Killyousovizh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sermera gets slowly back to his feet.
Killyousovizh lands a jab to Sermera's midsection.
Killyousovizh works Sermera's body with a nice hook.
A left lands for Killyousovizh.
Nice sprawl there from Killyousovizh as Sermera shoots in.
Sermera tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sermera fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Abreham Killyousovizh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Sermera.
Sermera drops his hands momentarily and Killyousovizh takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Killyousovizh comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sermera looks winded!
Crunch! Killyousovizh slams his shin into Sermera's torso.
Killyousovizh darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


It looks like Simon Sermera has been cut.
Killyousovizh lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Killyousovizh throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Killyousovizh lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sermera takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killyousovizh wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Killyousovizh instigates a clinch.
Sermera is trying desperately to land a takedown but Killyousovizh is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sermera.
Killyousovizh presses Sermera against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Killyousovizh digs a right hand underneath Sermera's ribcage. Sermera let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Killyousovizh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Killyousovizh manages to break the clinch.
Sermera ducks right into an uppercut from Killyousovizh.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Killyousovizh - that will leave a mark!
Abreham Killyousovizh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice straight punches there by Killyousovizh. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Killyousovizh.
Sermera walks forward, straight into a front kick from Killyousovizh.
Killyousovizh punishes Sermera's body with a nice straight punch.
Killyousovizh fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sermera has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sermera's coach down at Finch Farm was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sermera's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Killyousovizh lands with a good body shot.
Nice shot lands for Killyousovizh.
Killyousovizh throws a good cross that connects.
Sermera takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Sermera is rocked!


That has opened up Simon Sermera's cut even more.

Killyousovizh cracks Sermera with an uppercut from hell and Sermera crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Killyousovizh's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Sermera is still in real trouble! Can Killyousovizh finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Sermera is working an open guard so Killyousovizh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Killyousovizh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Killyousovizh knocks Sermera out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Abreham Killyousovizh!
In his post fight interview, Abreham Killyousovizh started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
