The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man blocks a head kick by Rickenbacker v.2.
Rickenbacker v.2 fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rickenbacker v.2 has taken the fight to the clinch.

It looks like Best Man has been cut.
Man has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Rickenbacker v.2 as Man tries to tie him up.

Rickenbacker v.2 thuds his shin into the meat of Man's side.
Man is breathing heavily.

Man wants to clinch but Rickenbacker v.2 slips to the side
and Rickenbacker v.2 counters by clinching up.
Man misses with a shot to the kidneys.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Man takes a knee right on the jaw!
Rickenbacker v.2 scores with a shot to the side of Man's head.
The referee calls for Rickenbacker v.2 to work.
Rickenbacker v.2 lands a nice uppercut.
Man has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rickenbacker v.2 is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Man wants to break free but Rickenbacker v.2 has control.
Man is trying to break the clinch but Rickenbacker v.2 is controlling him.
Rickenbacker v.2 controlling the action here for a moment.

Rickenbacker v.2 drops Man with a big knee straight up the middle! Man is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gibson Rickenbacker v.2 decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
