PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dante Luciano told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Chandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dante Luciano!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Luciano as he jumps to the side.

Chandler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Luciano is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Luciano has escaped and now he's on top!

Chandler has his foot on Luciano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Luciano works his way back into a safe position though.

Chandler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Luciano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Luciano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
